Red Wing Holiday Stroll is this Friday, November 23rd!
It’s hard to believe, especially with this beautiful mild weather, that the holiday season is almost upon us. Here in Red Wing, the seasonal send off is the fabulous Holiday Stroll. This annual event is packed with festive events for both young and old. There is plenty to see and do and eat starting with the Pancake breakfast, moving on to roasted chestnuts and a chili cook-off and tasting. For the younger set Santa and his (real) reindeer will be there, horse-drawn wagon rides, the lighting ceremony and the Christmas Parade. For the older, but still young at heart, There will be carolers, the festival of trees at the St. James hotel, a medallion hunt with a $300.00 prize, and the drawing for the window of gifts.
This year the Red Wing area Bed and Breakfasts have donated two $300.00 gift certificates good towards a stay at any of the elegant Red Wing bed and breakfasts to add to the already well packed window.
Also, the Golden Lantern Inn is also offering 10% off all gift certificate purchases of $150.00 or more during the month of December.
Come and join us as we welcome the holiday season with old-fashioned Christmas spirit!
The Golden Lantern Inn is pleased this year to offer a new seasonal package exclusively for our guests. Starting in December, in partnership with nearby Haycreek Stables, we are introducing horse-drawn sleigh or wagon rides. Spend a quiet hour exploring the wooded winter landscape near Red Wing, carried along by horses decked with festive sleigh-bells. Afterwards, you’ll be treated to seasonal delights and warm beverages. Later that night, you can relive your magical ride snuggled up in front of your in-room gas fireplace. Rides are offered Fridays and Saturdays at 3:30 pm and Sundays at 10:30 AM, from December 14th through December 29th. Sunday December 30 and Monday the 31st rides will be offered at both 10:30 AM and 3 PM. Cost is $15.00 per person. Please call 651-388-3315 with questions or to make your reservation. Space is limited so we do ask that you make your reservation a minimum of one week in advance.
